You could save a little more time on way out by skipping the Dawson summit and picking it up on the way back. The trail actually skirts along the west side below the summit.tekewinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10230830520110635922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3797598074793378196.post-37440866879665849992015-10-07T17:02:48.335-07:002015-10-07T17:02:48.335-07:00Thanks for the info. The group is hoping to be on Baldy summit for sunrise, shaving off a mile would be helpful. I'd say about 25-30 minutes.

Skyline in 7 hours is about my pace. Starting from Guffy adds a little over 2 miles from where I started, then subtract the side trip to West Baldy, I would guess 3.5 hours one way, 7 hours round trip.

Have fun, it is a beautiful part of the ANF!tekewinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10230830520110635922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3797598074793378196.post-20729704102486326922015-10-07T14:51:52.362-07:002015-10-07T14:51:52.362-07:00tekewin,

You can make it in a low clearance vehicle if you go slowly.
